Cancer – Acute lymphoblastic leukemia – High Risk
Theoris Darya
Cancer at 1 year and 4 months…
At just 1 year and 4 months old, following a routine medical check-up for a simple cold, we received the devastating news that our little Theoris is facing a reality no parent should ever have to hear: she has cancer. In an instant, our lives were shaken, confronted with a devastating diagnosis for the most precious being to us in this world.

“Your child has cancer” – Words no parent should ever hear
It’s been a year since receiving the diagnosis, a year of living with this pit in our stomachs, a void not stemming from hunger, but from the overwhelming fear and emotions of this battle. Every day, the word “cancer” echoes in our minds, and the pain of seeing a child suffering in a hospital bed is almost unbearable. As parents, we feel powerless, unable to alleviate the suffering of the most precious person in our lives.
Leukemia classified as High Risk
Unfortunately, our little girl has been classified as “High Risk” in this disease, as it is more resistant to treatment, and in this case, the treatment will be longer than in cases with standard or medium risk, and on the other hand, it will be much more aggressive.
A disease that would bring any adult to their knees, Theoris remains steadfast, classified as “high risk” but with a spirit of “high hope.” Despite the aggressive treatment, she is stronger and braver than anything else.
The illness has relapsed, Theoris needs a transplant.
The medical plans have changed abruptly; the cancer has relapsed during treatment. Doctors have stopped the previously prescribed treatment and, after further assessments, have decided to proceed with another type of immunotherapy and chemotherapy, preparatory steps for the transplant.
We leave our souls and hopes in God’s hands. May He work the miracles. We pray every day, and now more than ever, we need the good thoughts and the strength that binds us as humans to God. We should be united and convey to Him that we want Theoris to be healthy, to live her life like a normal child. “If God has decided that the transplant is the solution, we will follow His path.”

Join Theoris on the road to recovery
We express our profound gratitude to all those who have been and continue to be with us on this unexpected journey… we have met so many wonderful people along the way.
However, our journey is not over… we still need your support and you can help us with a kind thought, a share, a prayer for our little girl, a donation, anything you believe brings us closer to Theoris’s healing.
Theoris, our little girl, still doesn’t speak, but she thanks you from the bottom of her heart and begs you not to stop fighting. She needs you and us to be united, to be kinder, more understanding, and closer to her!

We are Costin and Simona, devoted parents and fighters, from the heart of Romania. We are blessed with two extraordinary children: Theoris, a 2-year-old girl with a smile that lights up any room, and Yustin, a 4-year-old boy, full of energy and curiosity. Our life, full of simple joys, changed suddenly when Theoris, then just a one-year-and-four-month-old toddler, was diagnosed with a rare and severe form of cancer – B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
